Ex. अध्ययनशील, कर्मशील, धर्मशील, दानशील, पुण्यशील, पापशील, विद्या- -पठन-विचार -व्यय -दया -कृपा -न्याय -स्नानसंध्या -गायन- सुकर्म -दुष्कर्म -अधर्म -अनुष्ठान -विवाद -शील, also सु- शील, कुशील, दुःशील &c. (and m. g. अर्धर्चा-दि; ifc. f( आ).) habit, custom, usage, natural or acquired way of living or acting, practice, conduct, disposition, tendency, character, nature (often ifc. = ‘habituated’ or ‘accustomed’ or ‘disposed’ or ‘addicted to’, ‘practising’; cf. गुण-, दान-, पुण्य-श्° &c.), [VS.] &c. &c. good disposition or character, moral conduct, integrity, morality, piety, virtue, [Mn.]; [MBh.] &c.
