Hidden, concealed, kept secret.

ढम् A solitary or private place.

-अर्थ a. a. having a hidden meaning (cf. ˚चन्द्रिका-तत्त्वदीपिका-दीपिका &c. N. of different commentaries).
-र्थः the hidden or mystic sense;
[A. L.] -आत्मन् (the compound word being गूढोत्मन् thus accounted for in Sk.; भवेद् वर्णागमाद् हंसः सिंहो वर्णविपर्ययात् । गूढोत्मा वर्णविकृतेर्वर्णलोपात्पृषोदरः) the Supreme soul.
