JYOTIṢMĀN An ancient King of Kuśadvīpa. This King had seven sons, called Udbhida, Veṇumān, Vairatha, Lambana, Dhṛti, Prabhākara and Kapila. Each division of that country is given the name of each of these sons. [Viṣṇu Purāṇa, Aṁśa 2, Chapter 4] .
